Objectives

1. To preserve and promote the traditional liturgical music and hymnody of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church.
2. To provide systematic education and training in Syriac Liturgical Music, Carnatic Classical Music, Western Music, and other related musical disciplines.
3. To impart fundamental and advanced knowledge of music theory, notation, vocal techniques, and instrumental music.
4. To develop musical skills and competencies among students through theoretical instruction and practical training.
5. To create awareness and appreciation of the historical, theological, and cultural significance of liturgical music.
6. To train and equip students to serve as competent choir members, choir leaders, music teachers, and liturgical musicians.
7. To encourage research, documentation, and the systematic preservation of traditional musical compositions and practices.
8. To provide opportunities for musical performance, creative expression, and the exchange of musical knowledge.
9. To promote the integration of traditional liturgical music with appropriate elements of Indian and Western musical traditions.
10. To encourage the active participation of trained musicians in the musical and liturgical life of the Church.
